How much does my item need to be valued before it fits into the Auction?
We have examples of all different price ranges from low to hih end pieces. We want everyone to feel comfortable and valued at Cagle Auction. This has been our mission from day one.
If I live a distance away from your gallery, how do I get photos to the Auction Company?
Different ways we can take a look at your items, one is to send an email with attached photos. Also text works great and please send photos o 850-736-1802. If you’re close by then you can make an appointment to stop by and discuss your piece or collection.
What is the Cagle Auction commission rate?
This varies from a number of variables. How many pieces, the condition of the item or entire collection, the distance traveled to retrieve items and the amount of labor involved. We are at a very competitive level with our commission rates.
If my item fits in your Auction, how do I get them to you?
One, you can always set up a date/time to drop off your items at our Gallery location 130 Commerce Blvd Athens, Georgia 30622. Please schedule an appointment as we may not be onsite. Cagle Auction has put many miles over the years both on the ground and in the air to get items for auction. NO collection is too small or too far away from you Experiencing the Cagle Difference and realizing Top Dollar for your pieces.
Do I have to fill out a legal contract for me to consign my items at Cagle Auction?
Simply yes, we are a professional auction house and have guidelines by thestate of Georgia. This contract protects you and Cagle Auction Company and its confidential.
Can anyone bid and how do I bid?
Easy as 1,2,3. 1 – Have proper State ID & Copy of Tax ID form if you are a dealer for likewise merchandise. 2 – Fill out Bidder Terms & Conditions from either in-house or online on our website or 3rd party bidding platforms. 3 – Inspect, Bid and Pay for items won before leaving and if you don’t mind please give us a review about how we did on Google, it means the world to us.
Is there a preview before the auction date?
Yes, one week prior to the auction date we will have Monday through Thursday by appointment only. Friday one day from sale will be a public preview from 11-5pm ESt. Auction day will be from 8:30am til 10am.
Does Cagle Auction Company Inc. charge a Buyer's Premium?
Yes, if you attend the Live In-Person Auction it will be as follows: Cash-Check 13%, Credit-Debit Card 15%. Online bidders premium will be 20%. All buyers’ premiums are subject to Georgia Sales Tax.
Does Cagle Auction charge Sales Tax?
Yes, by Georgia Law we are required to collect sales tax whether you live in Georgia or out of state. If you possess a Tax ID# please bring a copy for our records. If you do not have a copy of your Tax ID then you will be charged sales tax on your purchases. Online buyers are subject to the same laws as in-person bidders.
Do you take Absentee Bids or Phone Bids?
We take phone bids on select items so this does not clog up our phone lines. Absentee bids work best and are more time economical for the auction process.
