Rare 2008 Shelby West Six gallon Decorated Eight rows of combing decoration, this Buttermilk Pitcher that has a form that is just outstanding along with a strong green alkaline glaze & the combing is just stellar with wavy comb decoration. Also has combing on the loop handle and also the lug lifter handle. This is a first for Cagle Auction to offer a Large Decorated Buttermilk Pitcher from the master potter Shelby West. A must for any stoneware collector. Condition is mint and signed on the bottom. Fresh example out of a Atlanta area collection. Also note Shelby West is no longer making pottery. Standing 15 1/2" Tall
