Rare CJ Meaders Sr. 4gal Sorghum Jug from Mossy Creek, White Co. Georgia this is one of the finest double handle sorghum jugs Cagle Auction has offered. When it comes to the Meaders antique pottery one can only say that Cleater James Meaders Sr. was in my opinion the best, with fantastic graceful handles to stunning forms of wares. This sorghum jug has everything you could ask for in a southern jug. The overall shape and eye appeal makes this example a must have for Meaders collectors. The jug is Circa 1900-1920s and to be honest it looks as if it was never used. Cagle Auction has sold three in the past years and this one is just fantastic with being the best we have offered. If you are a Meaders enthusiast then this one is sure to make a fine addition in any collection. Fresh example from a barn find in Winder Georgia area and has No damage or repairs.
