1850s Edgefield South Carolina Dave Drake (1800-1870s?) Four Gallon Churn with Four Slash Marks. Classic Edgefield, Dave Drake Churn and these examples are very sought after in any condition. This is a fresh find from North Georgia estate and is one of few churns we have had the pleasure to offer. Classic Dave Drake lug handles and form with the slash marks with a striking glaze. Does show signs of glaze flaking. The churn has had a outstanding rim restoration with stellar color blending and forming. The churn is one on any Edgefield collectors list. No cracks or other damage and no other repairs. Folks, simply find another one with this caliber of glaze and rare form. Standing: 18" Tall
