Fine Edgefield, South Carolina Pottersville Three Gallon Jug. Circa 1825-30s time period. This jug is an outstanding example with a great early form and double tooled mouth and early bulbous form. The glaze is a great alkaline lime glaze with great eye appeal. Overall a Cagle "Top Shelf Example". Condition: insignificant mouth edge flakes, normal wear and usage. No cracks & No Repairs. Fresh example from the Terry collection of Greenville, South Carolina. Standing: 14 1/2" Tall
