Rare Buncombe Co. North Carolina Signed Jar. Circa 1850-70s time period with a classic double loop handle form with a rich alkaline glaze, classic of Buncombe County, North Carolina. The jar is script signed W.R.D.This jar has outstanding eye appeal and form. The jar has a tight old hair line that has the original old wire around the neck. Also a few minor insignificant glaze flakes, no chips or repairs present. Fresh from anAthens, Gerogia collection. Standing: 17 3/8" Tall
