Fine Shelby Co. Alabama 3gal Syrup Jug. What a outstanding example of Alabama alkaline glazed pottery. This syrup jug is just outstanding with great form and a rich lime glaze with small quartz in the clay body. Classic tapering form and strong handle with collared rim. Also note the three concentric lines above the mid section. This is a collector grade example. Condition is great with a minor firing line, again note Not a hairline crack, this is not distracting in any way. One very insignificant flake on the top of lip. No hairlines or repairs. Fresh example from a collection in North Atlanta area. Standing 17 1/2" Tall
