Description
Fine Boggs Family Alabama Six Gallon Churn. Circa 1880-90’s. This is a fantastic example of southern stoneware with this churn that has a stellar rich green alkaline glaze with nice iron pops in the churn. The churn is a classic double handle typical of Alabama churns and has a concentric line decoration around the top under the rim. Lug lifter handle on the other side. Condition is outstanding – near mint with only a glaze flak on the rim and lower handle glaze flake. No cracks or repairs. Quality sought after example. Standing 18 3/4" Tall
