Fine early rare Daniel Cagle (1854-1926) Pottery Why Not North Carolina Decorated Three Gallon Jar with double handles and a salt glaze body. The jar is classic double handled with forty five flared rim and has a double line of star type decoration. This is a fresh example from a local collection in North Atlanta. The jar is has a 3 in coggle wheel at top shoulder and next to the handle. These jars or for that matter Cagle pieces of stoneware do not show up often. Condition is very good and has three small under rim edge chips, nothing major at all. No cracks or repairs. Standing 16 1/4" Tall
