Description
Rare David Meaders ( 1951-2020 ) #22 Face Jug 1993. This is a fine example of Davids master hands that turned out a fine face jug, one of the best when it comes to Meaders Pottery. David comes from a long line of Southern Folk Potters. It all started with the late John Milton Meaders (1850-1942) and still continues today with a few rewmaining family members potting today. This is a One hundred year face jug and is marked on backside of the face jug. A great rich earthy olivine green alkaline glaze with kaolin teeth and cobalt marker eyes. Fine half gallon size and is in mint condition. Sought after example and is in mint condition. Dated 9-18-93 Standing 9" Tall
