Description
Fine 2001 Lin Craven (1946-2011) #7 Folk Pottery Figural. This is a outstanding piece of southern folk pottery in which is a African American sitting in a watermelon field taking a bite of a piece of watermelon. This is a fine example and is some of her finest works. The details are outstanding with fine details in the face and all the way to the overalls and melons on the ground. This is a really top shelf example and will make a fine addition to any southern folk pottery collection. Condition is outstanding, on the base you will see a firing line and is see in her works, note this did not break and she would often fill them with hot glue to insure nothing would happen. See pictures and you can see where it did not go all the way across. Fresh example from the Sharp Collection at Lake Lanier Georgia. Standing 11 1/4" Tall
