Description
Rare Burlon Craig (1914-2002) Double Handle Snake Swirl Jug. Two gallon size capacity, swirl clay body. Considered one of the last present day working folk potters in the south. Burlons work’s are highly sought after & important as seen in museums across the country. This double handled, double snake jug is a important example with a fine triple clay colored swirl body with two snakes, both snakes heads are heavy, both going under each handle and zig zagging across back of the jug. Also has wavy line decoration on the mid section. Circa early 1980s. Fresh example and is in mint condition. Standing 11 1/2" Tall
