Rare Signed Arie Meaders (1897-1989) "Gloria" (Granddaughter) Child’s Cup. Arie was mother to Famed Master Folk Potter Lanier Meaders, Edwin Meaders and wife to potter Cheever Meaders. This is a highly significant cup made for Arie’s granddaughter Gloria and signed "Granny Meaders" on the base. Classic Arie handle and form with an outstanding Coca-Cola bottle glaze. Cagle Auction had the privilege to auction this example off in 2011, And is proud to be bringing it back to the block once again. Fresh from an Atlanta area collection. Standing 2 3/8" T x 4 ¼" W
Condition: This example right here will be very tough to upgrade from due to rarity and condition, which is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs.
