State / Maker: South Carolina – Dave Drake (1800-1870s?) Age: 1850s Glaze: Alkaline Glaze Condition: Has handle restoration done to museum standards and handle does not fluoresce under black light. This is a true high caliber restoration. No other condition issues or repairs. Desirability: Highly sought after due size, extremely tough to acquire. Very few known in this size. Also notice Dave’s finger prints at base, very cool to touch and connect to the master potter’s hands, simply amazing… Standing: 9 5/8" Tall
