Lot 64:
Fine Isaac Gay (1835-1904) North Carolina 1 gal Jar Rare for being a one gallon, or just a little under. This example is a lug handled jar, classic Isaac Gay fingerprint traits across the top of the lug handle and strong form. Rich green alkaline glaze that has nice kaolin runs on the front and has a wonderful, flared rim. Significant due to the size. Condition, typical little flea bites around the rim one small flake inside the rim, glaze flaking on the lug handles, nothing major or distracting. All typical from an age and use. Also, no cracks or repairs. Fresh to the market example. Standing 10" Tall
