Three Gallon Crawford County, Georgia, Signed "CJB" Columbus Jackson Becham (1862-1928) Sorghum Jug. Circa 1880s. Outstanding signed "CJB" double handle three gallon sorghum jug, with the classic teardrop or pear shaped form with Columbus’s iconic double handle and CJB stamp. The jug has a slight under-fired glaze but yet has fantastic eye appeal and is a sought after example throughout the Southern pottery world. This would be a fantastic addition to any collection. Condition, stamped handle is 100% original, and the right handle has been professionally restored and is very well done and color matched exceptionally well. Small rim chip that has been professionally restored, no other condition issues. Fresh example from a middle Georgia collection. Standing 14 ½" T
