Significant Early American Adam & Eve Sampler Circa 1840, Artist: Mary Greig 8 years old in 1840, signed in lower right hand area. Slight staining from age, Weave Structure: Plain weave, 24 wraps per inch. Fiber: Wool and thread on linen. The piece has been framed in conservation framing and glass. Important piece of American history with great eye appeal. This is from the Sandy Gilliam collection, who owned American Sampler Inc. Folk Art-Hooking and Southern Stoneware Shop in Roswell, Georgia. This piece was authenticated by: Rachel Paar, Textile Conservator Conservation Resources Inc. Roswell, Georgia. Size – 21 1/2" T x 11 1/2" W – Frame: 27" x 17 1/4"
