Fine Anita Meaders (1956-2009) Quart Face Jug. One of the South’s true master potters Anita Meaders crafted some of the finest folk pottery produced by any female hands. Her talents were beyond her time and she truly was a master potter. This is one of the great pieces she & husband David Meaders (1951-2020) made and has a great true southern folk pottery look that she was known for. The dark green alkaline glaze sits well on this example. Signed Anita Meaders on base and DRM on right side of the mouth in script. Rare example. Fresh from an eastern North Carolina collection. Standing 7 1/2" Tall
