Southern Pottery & Folk Art Auction
Lot 146A:
Fine Salt Glaze L.M. Koonce Robins, North Carolina Folk Pottery Snake Circa 1994. This is one fine example of a snake in southern folk pottery. The details are outstanding with small flakes of quartz rock as the diamonds on a Diamondback Rattle Snake. Collector grade condition, two pieces of quartz are missing from firing, also the lower mouth (jaw) has been reglued and is not distracting, no color blending on the reglue. Also has a tight drying line at tail and does not go all the way through. Repair free. Size: 27 1/2" Long
