Rare Jerry Brown (1942-2016) Diamond Back Snake Face Jug, signed and dated on base. Circa 1993. This is a must for folk pottery collectrors, this face jug has a stellar eye appeal and glaze. The Diamondback Rattle snake is folky as the day is long over in Hamilton Alabama. Jerry is noted by the Smithsonian Museum and is also the 1992 National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment For The Arts. 2003 Alabama Folk Heritage Award. Also note the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife.The condition is stellar, museum grade with a firing separation at the snakes rattles and is glaze over and doesn’t distract value or eye appeal in any way. No chips, cracks or repairs. Fresh from the Schimer collection. Standing 9 1/2" Tall
