Rare Louis Brown (1924-2002) Mini Devil Face Jug 1997 of Arden, North Carolina. This is a fine scarce devil face in half pint size, Red and Black Devil Terra Cotta body with an outstanding devil face. These are highly sought after in southern folk pottery and the Brown family is one of the top families and a folk pottery dynasty. Signed (Hand Script) Brown Pottery Arden NC LDB-97. Note, this is the second example Cagle Auction has offered. Fresh from an Atlanta Folk pottery & Folk Art collector. Mint example and standing 3 3/4" Tall
