Rare Signed "W.O." for Capt. William M. O’Neal (1851 AL – 1918 AL) Baldwin County Alabama Three Gallon Churn that has a rich slip glaze and a 3 stamped on the shoulder of the churn. Strong W.O. stamp in rim edge above the 3. William O’Neal was a noted boat captain, and also owned O’Neal’s Pottery in Daphne, Alabama. The churn was made around the 1908-1910 time period. This is the first example to cross Cagle Auction block with his stamp and is a sought after example in south Alabama pottery. Condition is true collector grade with insignificant glaze flakes and only a few. No cracks, major chips or repairs. Fresh from a Cleveland, Georgia collection. Standing 14 1/4" Tall
