Fine 1850s Dave Drake Three Gallon Edgefield, South Carolina Storage Jar. Classic Dave food storage jar with his lug lifter handles and tooled rim that points to the master potter’s trademark traits. Dave pots are highly sought after and this one doesn’t disappoint. The jar has a rich iron body with alkaline glaze and is the perfect size at three gallons. This jar has outstanding form and eye appeal. Condition, has an old lug lifter handle repair that was done very well and has very nice color blending. No hairlines, minor rim chip, see pictures and no major chips. Fresh example standing 13" Tall
