Fine Barrow Co. Churn Script Signed "Poppy" Delay family shop that has an outstanding salt over slip glaze. The churn is from 1885-1900s time period. The churn is a classic example of fine stoneware from Jug Tavern area which was former Jackson County and now present day Barrow Co. Georgia. The script Poppy is very legible and is more than likely made for significance of a new Grandfather. This is a mint example and would be very fitting due to this possibility of "Poppy". The jar is a true Collector grade example and is a must for Barrow Co. collectors. This is the only known example and first time offered for auction and is from the Cleveland Georgia collection. Standing 16" Tall 6 1/2" Wide at top of jar.
