1850’s Dave Drake of Edgefield South Carolina Quart Preserve Jar, this is one of the most sought after forms of Dave Drake the preserve jar. This one is Stoney Bluff site1850s and bears the classic glaze from the site and time period. The jar has the classic traits of the Master Potter Hands Dave Drake with the rim and bulbous form, also the weight of the jar which is heavy for its size. This is an outstanding example and has everything in a small piece that one would want. Fresh example and is from a estate in East Georgia. Condition is outstanding with one glaze flake on the top of the rim and that’s it, no cracks or repairs. Standing 7 1/4" Tall
