Significant Edgefield South Carolina Circa 1830s Dave Drake or "Dave The Slave" Jar One Gallon Storage Jar. These are highly sought after jars due to important size and almost never survive. The jar is of stunning form and glaze. The jar is classic Dave with his flat top – long lug handles and rolled rim with bulbous form to tapering base. the jar has two / / marks at base. Condition: Two small rim chip restoration that was done to museum quality restoration, and almost can’t tell unless black lighted. The jar is top shelf example and is a true rare bird in this original. No hairlines or other restorations. Fresh example, standing 11" Tall
