Scarce 1850-60s White County Georgia Bowl. An extremely rare gem from White Co. Georgia. This piece along with the pitcher, which is also in this auction is from the same house and has never been offered for sale before. Bowls along with pitchers are your most sought after examples because 95% were damaged and due to everyday use. However, this bowl was one of the very few that survived and is in museum quality condition. Strong Craven family attribution with this rich iron slag alkaline glaze. Great pancheon type bowl. Condition: insignificant inner-rim flakes. No major chips, no cracks, or repairs. Important collector grade example standing at 5 3/4" Tall x 9 3/4" wide.
