Holograph Manuscript Letter Dated November 1871, Crawfordville Ga, Signed by Alexander H. Stephens, A major figure in American History. In his decades in political office, he served as U.S. Congressman, Vice President of The Confederate States of American, and Governor of Georgia. In this #4 page letter to historian C. C. Jones, Stephens discusses Native American Settlements and boundaries in early Georgia among other topics. Also included is an authentic hand colored Charcoal Lithograph of Alexander H. Stephens when a young man. An unusual of Stephens and rarely seen as such. Few copies are known. Picture is G+ – VG condition. Frame – size 32" L x 19" T
