Highly Significant 19th Century African American Folk Art Figural "Seated Man With a Bucket" Carved Wood – Yellow Pine, Likely South Carolina or Georgia, & was discovered in Georgia. One of two known, the other example is noted at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Canter, Williamsburg Virginia and that one was found in New York state. Also noted in The Afro-American Tradition in Decorative Arts Book by John Michael Vlach. Provenance from – Deaccession from the Columbus (Georgia) Museum of Art years ago, then purchased by Craig Jones collection.
