Scarce Lin Craven ( Late 1946-2011 ) Rattlesnake Jug 1999. One of North Georgia master female potters Lin was a kind soul and a master at southern folk pottery with her own flair. She made truly unique one of a kind examples and most pieces were very limited run pieces. She is of ninth generation descendant of the Craven Pottery family dynasty. She made this rare rattlesnake pint jug with decorated rattlesnake. The jug is heavily detailed with scales and wraps around the jug. Jug has a warm blueish color and is in mint condition. Signed and dated on bottom. Highly sought after example, fresh from the Lake Lanier collection & Standing 3 1/2" Tall Second example is a Outstanding scarce example of a Edgefield South Carolina face jug with a light blue glaze. This is the first example of Edgefield style face jug that I have seen before, and first one offered by Cagle Auction. Mint condition & Standing 4" Tall
