Sand Mountain Alabama Thomas Jefferson Henry (Born 1837-1921) Decorated Buggy Jug with a outstanding green alkaline glaze with on row of comb decoration. This is a highly sought after form being a buggy jug and having decoration on the top shoulder. The jug has strong eye appeal not just with the form but also with the great glassy feldspar glaze which one can pier deep in the glaze and has one area of nice runs of a modified lime glaze. The jug is a top shelf example and will be one you would want to upgrade with. When it comes to condition, none better with a gem mint 10 stamp, No chips cracks or repairs. This is a fresh example from the Lake Lanier collection, this was bought over 15 years ago on the longest yard sale in Alabama, and has been on the shelf in the kitchen for years until now.
