Fine 5gal Alabama Sorghum Jug Circa 1880-90’s. This is a very beautiful example with a stellar feldspar glaze that is a rich earthy lime glaze. The sorghum industry has a long standing tradition in the Alabama backwoods and this jug is outstanding. This is marked 5 & what looks to be a "T" on the top shoulder. Condition is very good for age and wear, with a tight stress line from the lip to the lower handle terminal. Otherwise really nice condition, no repairs. Standing 18" Tall
