Description
Fine 1860s Seigler Pinehouse South Carolina (along Shaws Creek) Four Gallon Jar, that is fresh from a Forsyth County estate. This is a rich lime glazed four gallon jar with a stellar glaze and strong eye appeal. The jar has the classic Seigler handles and tight rolled rim. Semi bulbous form sits well. The jar is in outstanding collector grade condition with minor base glaze flakes, see pictures. A one inch glaze line, note, not a hairline but in the glaze and will be noted. Jar is water tight and rings true. Notice the handle edge chip was done in the while drying and glazed over. No Repairs. Standing 13 3/4" Tall
