Description
Fine Edgefield South Carolina Circa 1850’s slave made Landrum Shop (arrived in American around 1688 and settled in Virginia also North Carolina and settled in Edgefield South Carolina during the fourth quarter of the 18th century). The jug has two slashes on the top shoulder with a rich and clear glassy olivine green alkaline glaze. Fine tooled rim collar and strong Landrum handle. Highly sought after example and is in outstanding condition, has some handle edge restoration but handle is still original and present. Note the handle is original and was not broken. No other condition issues or cracks or repairs. Fine fresh example from a private collection of Atlanta Georgia. Standing 14" Tall
