Description
Fine Thomas Davies Edgefield SC 3gal Jug circa 1860s. This is a glassy clear rich earthy olivine glaze with a single handle vessel. The piece is is unsigned and slave made and shows a flat top rim with strong shoulder ledge with classic collar base to a flat top rim. Has had a old stress line restoration on the top of jug which was very well done. Couple of rim flakes that were also restored. This is highly sought after example due to size and glaze. Fresh from a Atlanta area collection. Standing 13 3/8" Tall
