Description
Jerry Brown (1942-2016) Southern Folk Pottery Face Jug 1997 What a outstanding pint size face jug that Jerry created. The classic folky look by jerry is highly sought after and this just fits the bill with a great facial look that really stands out. Signed and dated on bottom, this one has a great glaze with detailed face. Condition is great with a drying line around the lip, please note this has Never been broken or repaired, typical when this large amount is applied to the face and started to pull away from the body of the jug. Jerry is noted by the Smithsonian Museum and is also the 1992 National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment For The Arts. 2003 Alabama Folk Heritage Award. Also note the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife. That being said Cagle Auction would say mint with no chips, cracks or repairs. Fresh from the Lake Lanier collection and is Pint size jug standing 5" Tall
