1993 Jerry Brown (1942-2016) Snake Face Jug with great folk pottery features that only he could do. The snake is very crude and folky which set this jug off. Very detailed facial features and is in mint condition. As of all Jerry Brown pieces most have glaze skips and drying lines which are typical. Fresh example of a Buford Georgia Collection. Jerry is noted by the Smithsonian Museum and is also the 1992 National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment For The Arts. 2003 Alabama Folk Heritage Award. Also note the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife. Standing 11 1/4" Tall
