Beautiful Mary Greene Folk Art Painting 1987 Titled "Country" Oct. We saw wood, cook, make broom, sage brooms for a year. Pick and eat Turnip Greens. Fine Mary Greene (1929-2015) Born in Homer to the daughter of a sharecropper Mother Ruby Mae Brock & Father William Brock Sr. Georgia. Folk Art Painting Circa 1987 Titled " Harvest Party ". Mary was a fantastic self taught southern folk artist, this oil painting is very well self taught and crafted with outstanding details in this one with the turnip green patch, to barn scene with flying mallards, the chicken barn-yard all the way to the farm family folks. This is a outstanding painting and is very eye appealing. A true rendition of farm life of North East Georgia. Condition is outstanding, these hung in the local Gainesville Georgia Bank since they were purchased. Her works have also made welcomed additions to collections such as President Jimmy Carter, also the Late Senator Ted Kennedy. Size-Canvas 24" x 36"
