Important (The Late) June Frazier Johnston Folk Art Painting. A local Watkinsville Georgia resident and born in North Florida a outstanding folk artist. This piece is a true testament to her caliber of her works from her creative background. She was a graduate of Georgia State University also Graduate School at Florida State University & also studying at Appalachian State University, Berry College also the Greenville Museum of Art. Her career as a painter was lengthy and very successful and in the mid 80’s her style shifted dramatically. Her pieces are from graphically inspired dreams, the scenes from moments also in her life or symbol-laden depictions of folks she knew or created. Her works are in Collections of the Corporate World including Citicorp, Delta Airlines, IBM, University of Georgia, Tupperware World Headquarters, Ford Motor Company, Texaco Oil Company, Bamett Bank, Home Federal Savings & Loan Company and many others. The exhibitions are outstanding from Florida State Museum, Cincinnati Museum of Natural History, Ashville Museum, Quinlan Art Center, Greenville Institute of Technology, Bender Fine Art Gallery.
