Rare Alabama 5gal Jimmy Rye Jar Born (1869-1952) and was made in Hamilton Alabama. The jar is of rich slip glaze and is the classic five gallon jar and has Jimmy documented handle terminals. The jar has a large blotch of salt glaze on one side of the jar and is very nice. Highly sought after form and example due to very few examples turning up on open market. The jar is in outstanding condition with minor top rim scuff with two glaze flakes in top of rim, very minor. No major chips, no cracks or repairs on this example. Fresh from a Alabama area collection. Standing 16 1/2" Tall
