Very Scarce Daniel Esker. Sumerford (1886-1973 Born in Itawamba Co. MS ) Bexar Alabama 3gal Churn. One of the more scarce pieces of later period Alabama churns circa 1915-1940 time period. This is a scarce Alabama marked churn and is one of three known and all three came from one collection out of Hamilton Alabama. This is the first example known to come up for auction, that I personally known of. This is a great marked example and has cobalt lines around the churn, with a nice stamp.
