Early and very rare Crawford Co. James Long ( 1785-1825 ) Quart Jug circa 1830-40s and is in Crawford Co. in 1826 and this is in that early time frame and fits the form of jug. The size is outstanding with quart size and highly sought after, also not to mention the glaze a earthy oatmeal colored alkaline glaze with some great iron burst in the body which gives it great eye appeal. The jug is a solid piece with the handle had a break and was re glued and note Not repaired with any color. All original and has no chips cracks. The jug over the years have seen multiple colors of paint and very few traces are left. Striking and highly important example for early Crawford Co. Standing 7 1/2" Tall
