Lot 27:
Description
Scarce Crawford County Billy Merritt Wire Handle Bean Pot. Early example out of the Merritt shop this wire handle bean pot is a great example with a great earthy greenish alkaline glaze and is one of Billy’s more sought after forms. This pot is in great condition with one chip next to the wire nipple nothing major or distracting, a few very insignificant glaze flakes. We do not have the wire handle, but could be easily made or found one to fit it. No major chips or cracks or repairs. This is a great example and will make strong addition in a stoneware collection. Fresh from a South West Atlanta area collection. Standing 7 3/4" Tall x 7 1/2" Wide
