Signed JA Bishop JugTown Georgia 2gal Jug, Jasper Andrew Bishop 1836-1923 of Jugtown Georgia was the son of Thomas Bishop and married Emily Salter of the Salter family potters of Jugtown area. Circa 1890-1900 this two gallon slip glaze jug has a great stamp and form. The jug is in pristine condition and has a drying line which is Not a hairline, note this was done after turning and was when on the drying rack. The jug is mint with No chips, cracks or repairs. Fresh from a South Carolina collection. Standing 13" Tall
