Description
Significant Howard Finster Folk Art Tie. Howard Finster is considered by many to be the father of Modern American Folk Art and Outsider Art. Hands down one of the most significant pieces of Howard Finster to surface in years, this tie was bought from Howard Finster ( his personal tie he wore ) in the late 1970s and has been in this fine collection since then. Not many of these have surfaced, only two others known and this one is in great condition. The tie has been museum framed and is a statement piece in any Folk And Outsider Art collection. To our research this is the only tie that has came up to bid on a public auction. One of three known ties that Howard Finster wore personally. Simply a exceptional example of the (Late) Howard Finster Folk Art.
