Edgefield, Dave Drake // . . Marked 2 Gallon Jar
Description
Fine and early period Edgefield, South Carolina, Dave Drake (1800-?) // . . Marked Two Gallon Jar. Likely from the early period of BF Landrum site. The jar has classic Dave traits in the handle and form. Correct two slashes and punctates. Great eye appeal and form. Condition: Three small rim nicks that were restored to museum standards, two insignificant glaze flakes under each lug handle, also a few kiln bloats. No other damage or repairs and no cracks. Fresh example from a South Carolina collection. Standing: 11 1/4" Tall
