Description
Scarce Stamped Brown Pottery Atlanta, Georgia Cream Riser with strong attributation to Bowling P. Brown (1842-?) with a rich slip glaze and some salt typical of the Atlanta area potters in this time period. This from the 1870s example and he is listed as a potter in Atlanta. This mark is found in Atlanta by the Browns and in Avalon & Jugtown Georgia. "Cagle Top Shelf Example" Folks simply find another one. First known one we have offered, we have seen marked shards but this one is truly Gem mint, museum grade piece. No damage and no repairs. Found just south of Atlanta. Standing: 7 1/4" Tall x 8" Wide at Top.
