Significant 1850’s Decorated Bacon Level (Randolph County, Alabama) Ussery Pottery Shop Marked Preserve Jar with Wagon Wheel stamp and wavy line and concentric line decoration. Folks, what an outstanding discovery in this preserved jar with an outstanding lime alkaline glaze great decoration and form for outstanding eye appeal and collector appeal. This example has strong traits to the Ussery shop out of the Bacon Level community located in Randolph County Alabama. The strong attribution points to the shards from the Ussery waster site That was excavated by authoritative Gary Price, his countless hours of work and dedication and among others have truly helped us better understand Potter’s works from the bacon level community. This example is purely collector grade with one insignificant rim edge chip, no other condition issues present and no repairs. Folks find another one, this is truly a rare bird.
