Crawford County Signed HD Batter Pitcher
Description
Monumental Crawford County Signed "HD" Henry Doss Marshall (1845-1899) batter pitcher. One of the rarest pieces out of the Marshall Shop. This batter pitcher has a strong HD stamp on the handle paired with an outstanding paint rock glaze with heavy iridescent sheen. This is the only known example in this style of pitcher and very few are known to exist period. A Cagle top-shelf example with strong eye appeal. this is a very desirable example. Condition: has typical minor spout wear from usage and age as well as handle edge glaze flaking. No other chips, cracks or repairs present. Folks simply a rare bird, museum quality, find another one. Standing 8 1/2" tall.
