Description
Find attributed TJ Henry (1837-1921) Sand Mountain Alabama 2-gallon modified lime glazed pitcher with the tooled rim. This example is a fantastic one with graceful form and very nice eye appeal. These examples in this caliber of conditions near mint are extremely difficult to acquire as these utilitarian examples were anu essential part of everyday life. This example was documented many years ago by countryman and Forbes and this photograph in their sand mountain section of their website and can be seen under pitcher’s section. Provenance: Years ago, this example was in the Countryman & Forbes collection and was traded for many years ago, now (present day) from a private central Alabama collection. Standing: 10 1/4" Tall
Condition: Condition: 2 insignificant light glaze chips, and one tiny glaze chip on the inside rim of the pitcher. No cracks or repairs present, see pictures. Note the crazing line just under the spout, this is not a hairline crack. Pitcher rings true and holds water.
